Today, I recieved via UPS, my favorite DVD, ever. Yes, my copy of 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down,' the new Baille Walsh Oasis tour documentary arrived. You don't need to be a massive Boys From Burnage fan to enjoy it.
A few things-
1. Kasabian and Jet opened for them on this tour
2. Gem Archer is the rhythm guitar player, Andy Bell is the bassist, and Zak Starkey is the drummer. You may have heard of Zak's dad. He was in a little band called, hmmmm, what was it? The Beatles.
The following is a live blogging of sorts..... (my DVD player by my computer is acting wonky. Therefore, I took notes at another TV. The things I do for my own amusement)
- Oh holy crap, Noel is not impressed with Girls Aloud. Cheryl Cole is "the Geordie c*nt" and Nicola Roberts is the "ginger bollocks." Liam "got it in the neck" from Nicole Appleton (his missus) for "talking to other girls." HAHAHA
-Mr. Thomas Peter Meighan? Is solely referred to as "Tommy Boy," and has "the nicest smile" and is "the nicest man in music." Awwww.....
- Colin Murray from Radio1 helps with the audio commentary. I adore him. So funny.
-Everyone in the band (except for Noel) gets Vitamin C injections. He would like to remind everyone that he is the only one "keeping it real."
- On a related note, regarding the injections and Zak's insane drum work on 'Rock and Roll Star,' Noel says- "It's because he's been shot up to fuck."
- Regarding the Little People that sing 'Happy Birthday' to Liam, Noel says, "It's the little fella out of The Fratellis, innit?" which prompts a 'Chelsea Dagger' sing-a-long.
-During Kasabian's sound check, Liam says, "They're 'avin it front of no one." Then Andy says the thing that made me fall off the couch laughing about Sergio- "THERE'S THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS, STAGE LEFT." It's not just us, Odd....
-There is an actual argument about whether Noel and Richard Ashcroft kissed at the Q awards. Also, Noel is always cold. Always.
-At one point, Sergio Lorenzo gives Thomas P a "titty twister," which prompts Thomas to ask, "Can you see my pepperonis?" He's so adorable.
- In Australia, Noel and Liam wear very similar white jackets. Colin comments, "you look like two twins that have been dressed the same," to which Noel responds, "Our mam dressed us before we left, and told us not to eat our sandwiches before we got on the plane."
- The boys in the band? Obsessed with board games. Sergiously.
I can hardly wait to watch it again....

OMG Prince of Darkness!!!!
I just died. The whole band commentary was worth it's weight in gold.
And there was so much more. Gem, Zak and Andy get ripped on pretty much constantly for not liking football and being vegetarians, Sarah apparently hit Noel every time he made a comment about her or a girl- which was a lot...
Just rent it. It is made of awesome.
brill.
